As an experimental digital artist, I use a variety of tools and chance processes to explore and express dreams and states of consciousness in a surreal, organic style, often bordering on psychedelic. While my skills are grounded in the traditional (letterpress printing, photography, and so on), my current toolkit includes VR, AR, AI, and live-animated projection. A longtime participant in multiuser digital worlds, I’m currently exploring the possibilities of VR and cryptoart – under the name oculardelusion – as tools of expression and collaboration.
I have also spent the last several years involved in creating ambitious town-scale, mixed-reality public art projects – including large-scale projections on medieval buildings, hacking fictional narratives into people's daily lives in cinemas and in print, interactive AR/VR installations, and more.
I believe in art as a catalyst for innovation, cooperation and galvanizing communities. My practice includes empowering people who don't think of themselves as artists to feel creatively liberated to experiment with digital artmaking tools, as a playful way to express themselves. I also teach digital arts skills to traditional artists curious about incorporating emerging technologies into their practice. ACE supported.

As a writer, I tell stories of the people behind some of the world’s most extraordinary ideas in science & technology, arts & culture, environment & sustainable development, and social justice. I’m known for communicating complex concepts clearly and accurately – while intimately conveying the humanity and passion that drives scientists, artists and others to innovate. I’ve profiled hundreds of visionaries from around the globe, across a vast swath of disciplines.
Meanwhile, as an editorial and communications consultant, I help individuals, organizations, startups and corporate clients create manifestos, communicate successes, tell their origin stories, find and develop a brand voice, connect with the public, and more.

I guide and motivate writers at all experience levels to tell their own stories, develop their own writing practices, and get their books written, produced – and published. I work with clients one-on-one to address their specific needs, and lead groups to facilitate safe, playful, and inspiring spaces in which creativity flourishes.
